One thing all photographers have in common…

Is that we all want to be landscape photographers. I mean, think about it, why wouldn’t we? Ideally, the job allows us to travel all across the globe, which is a dream for most people as is, but then on top of that, you get to see the most beautiful and amazing nature sights in the world, and then capture it as a magnificent image of timeless beauty! How does that job not sound awesome? But the truth of Landscape photographer is that there isn’t really much work in it. Almost everywhere in the world has been photographed at least once, in one way, shape, or form, and there are very few commissioned jobs to go somewhere to photograph landscapes. Yet, almost every photographer in the world wants that job. So, you can imagine it’s not an easy job to get…

But that doesn’t stop photographers from dreaming, myself included. I just love how beautiful mother nature can be. When you see a beautiful landscape scenery, you stare at it and think to yourself “This is the world I live in, this is the planet that I’m from” and you feel simply amazing, and you’re doing nothing but staring (and photographing I guess). I believe and have seen some sights in this world that are gorgeous enough for you to convince yourself that even if you had nothing else in this world, witnessing and knowing that beauty like these fantastical landscapes that people only dream about actually exist, is reason enough to live for. It’s even better when you know the science behind the beauty; when you know what’s going on in the sky to create the clouds you’re seeing, or know the physics behind the light that is causing the colours that you’re wseeing.

It’s all endlessly fascinating…
